The Perfect World Foundation Award
Ellie Goulding, acclaimed globally for her musical achievements and environmental advocacy, has been honored with The Perfect World Foundation Award. This prestigious accolade recognises significant contributions to wildlife and nature conservation and adds Ellie Goulding to an esteemed list of previous honorees, including Sir David Attenborough, Dr. Jane Goodall, and HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco. The award ceremony, which took place on September 5 in Gothenburg, was honoured by a presentation from Sarah, Duchess of York.
Ellie Goulding’s remarkable career includes the sale of over 18 million albums and 140 million singles worldwide, with her music amassing 23 billion streams. Her substantial social media influence, with a following exceeding 50 million, has been instrumental in her environmental advocacy. As a Global Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Goulding’s commitment is further demonstrated through her participation in significant environmental summits, including three Conference of the Parties (COP) meetings.
Conservationist of the Year 2024
Recognised as The Conservationist of the Year 2024, Goulding’s environmental activism has garnered global attention. In her acceptance video, she humbly remarked, “I don’t feel like I deserve it, but I will continue to do everything I can. “Our planet’s wildlife and biodiversity face critical threats, with more than 1 million species teetering on the edge of extinction.”

The ceremony, a high-profile event featuring celebrities, philanthropists, and conservationists, celebrated Goulding’s philanthropic work and highlighted global conservation issues. The presentation by Sarah, Duchess of York, underscored the importance of raising awareness for conservation efforts.
Goulding’s dedication
Goulding’s dedication extends beyond advocacy. She actively works to reduce the carbon and resource footprint of her industry, having removed single-use plastics from her physical album releases and merchandise. Her last UK tour was carbon neutral, and she consistently promotes eco-friendly practices within the music industry. Goulding believes in positive action, stating, “The climate and nature crisis is very serious, but doom and gloom doesn’t work. We have solutions, ingenuity, community, and enthusiasm. I am a firm believer in taking proactive steps and making a difference now.
