Transense Technologies plc, through its Translogik division, has secured a major contract with Logistics UK, one of the country’s largest business groups representing the transport industry. This partnership will revolutionise vehicle inspections by introducing a cutting-edge digital solution tailored to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Enhancing Efficiency in Fleet Management
Logistics UK, with a membership exceeding 21,000 businesses and conducting over 50,000 vehicle inspections annually, sought a next-generation solution to streamline its inspection services. By collaborating with Transense Technologies, the organisation is set to deploy an innovative tyre condition monitoring system, transforming how fleets of all sizes manage compliance and safety.
The initial three-year agreement will see Logistics UK implement Translogik’s TLGX tyre inspection tools and TIRETASK software, both customised to integrate seamlessly with Vision, Logistics UK’s comprehensive compliance and certification software platform. This integration ensures accurate, real-time data collection while reducing administrative burdens.
Nationwide Rollout of Advanced Digital Tools
Following a rigorous development and testing phase, Logistics UK’s engineers trialled Translogik’s tyre inspection tools, providing crucial feedback to refine the technology. The nationwide rollout across a network of more than 65 vehicle inspection experts marks a significant shift towards digital transformation in fleet management.
The system combines mobile tablet-based data collection, a customised TIRETASK inspection app, and cloud-based data storage with Translogik’s advanced tyre inspection tools. This enables engineers to capture and analyse data instantly, reducing the time spent on paperwork while improving accuracy and efficiency.
Chris Lipscomb, Operations Director at Logistics UK, stated: “Following rigorous trials and a strong collaboration with Transense, we are thrilled to introduce this advanced digital inspection solution. Translogik’s TLGX tools and TIRETASK software will transform our inspection process, delivering unparalleled efficiency and data quality for our members.”
He highlighted the impact on fleet operations, noting that effective tyre management enhances fuel efficiency, extends tyre lifespan, and reduces roadside breakdowns and vehicle downtime. Additionally, improved tyre longevity contributes to environmental sustainability by reducing waste.
“This rollout will set a new industry benchmark, offering real-time savings in fuel, tyre, and maintenance costs, all supported by the robust data insights available through our Vision platform,” Lipscomb added.
A Game-Changer for the Logistics Industry
Ryan Maughan, Managing Director at Transense Technologies, emphasised the importance of the partnership: “This contract with Logistics UK marks a major achievement for Transense, showcasing the impactful benefits our solutions offer to the logistics and fleet management industries.” He also noted the increasing role of digital transformation in vehicle compliance and inspection services, reinforcing Transense’s position as a leader in innovative fleet management solutions.
Driving Digital Innovation in Fleet Management
The agreement with Logistics UK is a direct outcome of Transense’s strategic partnership with TIRETASK GmbH, whose state-of-the-art fleet management software underpins the Translogik TLGX solution. By leveraging TIRETASK’s expertise, Transense has developed a tailored inspection platform that meets the specific operational needs of Logistics UK.
This collaboration underscores the growing demand for data-driven, technology-enhanced solutions in the commercial vehicle sector, setting a new standard for efficiency and compliance in fleet inspections.
With this latest achievement, Transense continues to drive innovation, reinforcing its role as a key player in the digital transformation of logistics and fleet management industries.
